Pariska Patra is about helping women in rural parts of India to be able to wash and dry their cloth sanitary pads without being embarrassed and hide. The leading concern within various regions of India which needs to be addressed is the taboo surrounding menstruation. This is a taboo which has yet to be demystified within society; by being a taboo topic, the side- effects are concentrated on women’s daily routines as they can alter according to society. These changes cause menstruating women to feel uncomfortable when spoken to about menstruation, purportedly by men in several Indian communities. Majority of the women think that women should not be wondering outside house comfortably. As believed in India, the rules have been created by Gods and Goddesses in India, hence the rules should be followed without being questioned. Women tend to be shamed and look down on, notably when being compared to men in the Indian society.
